Butser Hill

Twin Dad knows how to sprinkle a little bit of simple adventure into our lives when needed. We didn’t have to venture far and the parking was covered by our Culture All Pass so added bonus there.

I’d like us to walk to the top of Butser Hill” he says. “I bet you a fiver that you won’t make it to the top” he bets L which is all part of a cunning plan. Agent S soon jumps on the band wagon and decides she simply must out do her Dad and get to the top first and she does with our two smallest following quite quickly behind her. Twin Dad just hangs back enough to keep them all in front but all in view and I hang back to keep a pace I can manage alongside L.

Exercise is invigorating. The natural high and feel good factor from the endorphines being rushed around the body is great. There were a few fake summits to content with and it did feel good to get to the top.

We saw lots on our lovely uphill walk; wild flowers, Rhopalids and the spider like arachnid known as a Harvestman not to mention a few happy sheep. The views were pretty spectacular too.
