Firmly in a pattern of a once a week blog post it seems.
The weather is cooler and feeling slightly more Autumnal in comparison to the heat we were enjoying. Back to School signs are everywhere. A and W were not impressed by the grey Teflon uniform in Sainsbury’s the other day. Ever the fashion diva’s.
So this week we’ve had an over night visit from Nanny and Grandad. Some of us took them for the harbour tour at the Historic Dockyard and a wander around Warrior. Then a different dynamic of our family member’s took them to our favourite blackberry spot for our first pick of blackberries of the season.
The most exciting event of the week has probably been our Home Ed Mini Olympics which is primarily organised every year by a home ed mum friend who does a fantastic job every year. It’s no easy task either for we had in excess of 60 participating children this year plus baby siblings and parents. The weather held, all but one down pour where most of us remained outside in true British spirit and continued on with the race regardless. Great day, even L had a good sports day.
S has been to another workshop at Fort Nelson to continue on with her Light Graffiti, Silver Art’s Award Project.
Otherwise, there’s been heaps of skyping friends, minecrafting, loom banding, a whole pile of new drawing with new pens, another blackberry picking trip with friends and completion of our Comic entries for the Home Ed Comic publication coming soon.
The TV has been on mostly with The Croods being watched over and over with a splash of Penguin and Whale Documentaries. These are the favourite animals of the moment.
Oh, and I’ve had all my hair chopped off.
